About Del Sol School
In 2000, working closely with a special education Director, Kent Halbmaier, Dr. Kim founded Del Sol School as a non-profit corporation, nonpublic school to support special education students making progress in their individual education programs and learning to manage their challenging behaviors so they can return to their home schools. Our founders noticed a gap in services for students in special education who required a higher level of behavioral support. Public schools and in home ABA providers were unable to coordinate and provide the level of support needed in the classroom setting for students with behavioral needs.
Board of Directors
Del Sol School is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Board members represent a variety of backgrounds, experience, talent and interest, including education, psychology, childcare, customer services, and parents of individuals with special needs students.
