EGGS: Frogs start out inside an egg in the water. Frogs lay up to 4,000 eggs at one time!
TADPOLES: Tadpoles hatch from the eggs and live in the pond. They breath with gills and have no legs. Tadpoles swim with a tail and feed on the shell of their eggs.
TADPOLE WITH LEGS: Tadpoles then start to grow back legs. They may begin to eat foods like insects and plants.
FROGLET: The tadpole turn into a Froglet. The body shrinks and they start to form front legs. They now have four legs and keep their stubby tail. This stage is where they start to breath on land with lungs instead of gills.
FROG: The full grown frog no longer looks like a tadpole. It has legs and lungs. Its gills and tail are gone. These full grown frogs start the life cycle all over again when females lay more eggs.
